Welcome to No Child Left InsideSM, a special initiative of Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell, coordinated by the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection to encourage Connecticut families and visitors alike to enjoy all the recreational resources and outdoor activities available in Connecticut's state parks, forests and waterways. From Kent Falls in Kent to Stratton Brook in Simsbury to Fort Trumbull in New London, it's time to discover the great outdoors!

Hundreds of Connecticut families accepted the fourth Great Park Pursuit challenge to visit different state parks, forests and other DEP locations over a seven-week period as part of a unique Connecticut State Parks Family Adventure. These teams enjoyed a variety of activities – from fishing at Squantz Pond State Park to building blue bird boxes at Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area to crawling through the marine trawl net at Marine District Headquarters – with over 100 families ultimately competing for grand prize packages at Kettletown State Park.
